This giveaway has ended! Thanks to all that entered. 🙂
Like I said earlier this week, I love puzzles. They help your child with logical thinking plus keep them occupied, usually by themselves, for long periods of time. Hey- mommy needs some time for herself too!! Ella will sit and do a puzzle 2 or 3 times before she gets tired. Though, she really enjoys doing them with my mom. With her first color wheel puzzle, I tried for 2 weeks to get her to match them. After the first sitting with my mom, she had it figured out. It’s not that we did anything differently, it’s just a Nonnie thing. So every time we get a new puzzle, she sits down with my mom and they do it together, then she’s on her own.
ImagiPLAY is one of my favorite puzzle makers. They have unique Eco-friendly puzzles that are beautiful! They carry puzzles for all ages. This butterfly puzzle is what drew me to their site:
Isn’t it beautiful? I love how the vibrant puzzle pieces have the alphabet written on them! Here is another puzzle that is great for babies and young toddlers:
The best part about their puzzles is that they are made from plantation grown rubberwood and hand painted with non-toxic paints. Every product that ImagiPLAY makes is made with renewable, sustainable resources. Barbera Aimes, the founder of ImagiPLAY said, “All my life I’ve wanted to leave this earth with some kind of beneficial legacy. If there is one thing I can leave on this earth, it would be to help children appreciate our world.” Producing toys using only materials and processes that show respect for the planet and all the people and creatures upon it has remained ImagiPLAY’s promise and challenge.
ImagiPLAY also makes wonderful baby toys, rolling toys, food play, play sets and global games. We have one of their play sets and Ella has loved it! ImagiPLAY sent Ella a Counting Penguin Puzzle to review.
We are working on counting objects and it’s been great to have the number written on the penguins as we are counting. The puzzle will only fit together with the correct number sequence. So this forces your child to learn their numbers if they want to put it together. Ella is stubborn and has to master something. So this has driven her to start remembering which number comes next. She was really frustrated with it at first since the number 10 penguin wouldn’t fit with number 2. So if you are just starting out, I advise you to separate them and have them in order for your child to put back together. The puzzle is also great for fine motor skills since they have to slide the penguin arm into the other penguin’s back. It may look like a simple puzzle, but it is kind of tricky and truly promotes logical thinking. Ella also loves to have the penguins interact with one another and they have conversations. She lines them up and walks them around her table as they talk to one another.
You can get a Counting Penguin Puzzle at ImagiPLAY for $16.99.
