So how do you teach your children to become more Eco-friendly? Most children don’t think about how much water they waste while brushing their teeth or remember to turn the lights off when they walk out of a room. Even if we’ve told them a thousand times! It is important to start teaching our children about protecting the environment and becoming more aware of what they are doing…. I mean it is for their future.

Luckily there are more and more companies making Eco-friendly children’s educational products! I know Ella is a hands on learner. If I tell her something, it goes in one ear and out the other. But if I show her a book or a toy and we discuss something, a week later she’ll start telling me all about it. You might think 2 is too young to start teaching about the environment. idbids believes that teaching preschoolers about environmental sustainability is a fundamental concept- just like teaching shapes, colors, letters, and saying “please and thank you.” I have to agree. Ella is catching on and turns off lights every time we leave the room. Though, she sometimes shuts off the power to the computer while I’m in the middle of doing something. We need to work on that. But these are concepts that any child can pick up on and the little things will become every day behaviors.
