Shorty’s Gourmet Treats Giveaway

We all know chocolate is a big no no for dogs, but did you know that xylitol, which is commonly found in sugarless products is also fatal? The xylitol makes the dogs blood sugar levels drop and if it gets low enough the dog will start having seizures. Xylitol can also cause liver damage. If you have a dog under 20 pounds, 2 pieces of sugar free gum could be fatal. So be careful if you have any in your purse that you keep it out of their reach. If you suspect your dog has gotten in to any sugar free products containing xylitol, take them to the vet immediately. It only takes 30 minutes to an hour for their blood sugar to start dropping.

    What I like most about Shorty's treats is that she puts so much time and effort into making them attractive and healthy for dogs. She obviously cares about making a quality product. Most of her treats look better than bakery cookies!

    I watched the Youtube video and learned:
    – Shorty has (at least) 2 dogs
    – people can eat the treats(!)
    – they actually smell good while baking (never would have guessed that for dog treats)
