When I had my baby shower, 3 years ago- man how time flies- I got this huge gift basket full of baby care items. It was packed with Johnson & Johnson shampoo’s, lotions, body wash and tons of other stuff. (This was before I decided to go green.) When E started breaking out in rashes, I started to look into what was in her skin care and was shocked. There are tons of unhealthy ingredients in big named brand products, even chemicals the EPA considers probable human carcinogens. So we went on a search for harsh chemical free solutions.

  29. I learned that SIRJJ uses Avocado Oil in many of their products which is “This ultra rich organic oil is a delightful treasure containing high amounts of Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, and E. Also contains amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin, and other essential fatty acids. Highly prized to those with skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, and other skin ailments.”

    I loved learning about so many of the wonderful natural ingredients that go into their products, make me want to try them more and more!

  30. SIRJJ says to avoid Hydroquinone in products. And, now I know why! “This ingredient is commonly used in skin whitening products. It is also commonly used in plastics manufacturing and is a highly toxic chemical. This ingredient should not be used on humans or animals. Hydroquinone is a well known carcinogen and is known as a liver, blood, lung and respiratory, reproductive organ and skin toxicant”

    I just bet I have used products with this in them before, yikes, scary thought!
