ecojot giveaway

This giveaway has ended. Thanks to all that entered!
I think I searched every craft store in Charlotte looking for recycled sketch paper. No luck. Since Ella colors every day, I really wanted to find paper that was made out of post-consumer recycled paper. I went on an internet search and came across ecojot.

ecojot sells Eco-friendly agendas, cards, calendars, folders, journals, notebooks, sketchbooks, scrapbooks, workbooks and wrapping paper! They are all made with 100% post-consumer recycled paper that is acid and chlorine free. All of the inks and glues are vegetable based and bio-degradable. Did I mention their styles are adorable?? These have to be the cutest notebooks I’ve ever seen! They have tons of styles to choose from and their kids line is precious.

ecojot sent me 2 ecoKids sketchbooks, 2 ecoWorkbooks, and 3 pocket ecoWorkbooks to review. Ella has really loved drawing in the ecoKids sketchbooks! We have kept the smaller sketchbook in the car for longer rides. She isn’t the world’s best passenger, so this occupies her and helps me keep my sanity. Plus it’s great to have on hand if we go out to eat or run an errand that isn’t that much fun. This is the larger sketchbook!I keep the large sketchbook on her table with crayons so she can color whenever she feels the need. This is her latest drawing:I also have a wall that I display all of her drawings and paintings for encouragement. I got the wall art clips from Land of Nod and they are awesome! I made the sign above. 🙂 But there are only a few clips and Ella makes at least 7+ new drawings/paintings a week. So I love that you can keep the art in the ecoKids sketchbooks and save the book. Another way I preserve Ella’s art is to roll up the artwork and store it in a shipping tube.

I have been using the ecoWorkbooks to write down the preschool activities I have planned for the week. That way I can keep track of my goals and grab ideas when I need them. There is a great site that I get ideas from called http://homeschooling.suite101.com The front of the workbook has a place to put your name, date and subject. That way I know which book I’m grabbing, plus I can see the dates we worked on a project.

The mini ecoWorkbooks are great to take on trips to jot notes about the adventure or write something down that you want to look up. They are small enough to fit in your purse or even your back pocket! If I don’t write it down, I tend to forget things. If Ella shows interest in something and we don’t have the time for me to fully explain it to her, I write it down and we get back to it later. Plus this gives me time to look up activities that would go along with the theme.

ecojot is great for kids in school, preschoolers and even adults. You can buy ecojot online or they may be carried in a store near you!
